HOT OFF THE PRESS: Ronnie Burkett’s hit production THE DAISY THEATRE at the 2018 Sydney Festival

Very excited to announce that Ronnie Burkett’s saucy production, THE DAISY THEATRE, will be featured at the 2018 Sydney Festival, being performed at the Seymour Centre from January 13th through 25th, 2018.

Co-commissioned and premiered in Canada by LUMINATO in Toronto, co-commissioned and premiered in the USA by Kristy Edmunds at CAP UCLA, THE DAISY THEATRE was premiered in New York with a two-week sold-out run at the BARYSHNIKOV ARTS CENTRE in September 2015.

If you cannot make it to Sydney, The Daisy Theatre will also be presented at The Centaur in Montreal from February 20-March 25, 2018

By the way, LITTLE DICKENS will premiere for a one-time Holiday engagement at The Cultch in Vancouver, December 5-22, 2017. This is Ronnie Burkett’s improvised version of Charles Dickens’ beloved A Christmas Carol, starring the cast of  THE DAISY THEATRE. Reigning Daisy diva, Miss Esmé Massengill, will portray the role of Scrooge, and audience favourite, Schnitzel, will be Tiny Tim. Ronnie’s creating several newly costumed versions of leading marionettes, a new holiday front curtain and backdrops, and musical numbers of seasonal tunes (including, of course, a Christmas themed opening burlesque act). Given the stunning reception given to The Daisy Theatre over four consecutive sold out Vancouver runs, we can’t think of a better place for this to happen.
